open courto

i finally went for my first open court case!
it was exhilarating and nerve wrecking at the same time. so many mixed feelings i cant even describe..
ok, this may sound abit childish..
" been dreaming for 13 years to step into the court properly attired (robe and bip) and actually conduct a file. and i did it today.. today the 8th of april 2010 marks a special place in my heart... *floats* "

but then, i had to blankly wait for 2 hours before the judge came to the bench! all the lawyers had to loiter around and were chitchatting to each other for 2 whole hours! not realising, or rather dont want other lawyers to realise i was the newbie greenie in open court, i was chatting nonchalantly away with a few lawyers...we chatted about the most mundane day to day stuff! god, now thinking back, i want to laugh..

me: woah, do u realise its thursday already?

lawyer 1: yeah, i know! its so fast!

me: yeah and u know thats why oprah winfrey recommended a book called 'power of now'..

lawyer 1: isit? whats that book about?

me: u know... power of now.. live now...

lawyer 1: oh ya ga...

hahaha, i secretly smile at myself ... and think, god, i can get used to this shit.. its like talking rubbish.. my forte.. hahahaha.
and all these while pretending as if i am one of the seasoned lawyers! i was very much jittery inside, thank you very much.. thinking i will screw up the file and lose the case or something.. but in the end, all went well.. everything went as planned coz i prepared myself last nite... wrote so much counsel notes macam go for exam.. haha..

but yea, i got the order granted.. yay!
